"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:3-6, NIV).

I believe that the work of Samaritan's Purse is guided by God as we seek Him in prayer. When disaster strikes anywhere in the world, the first thing we do is seek Him for wisdom in how to respond. The staff at our international headquarters in Boone, at our worldwide offices, and at our field offices across the globe meets regularly to pray.

Equally important are the petitions of our faithful friends. People like you also play an extremely vital role in the ministry and mission of Samaritan's Purse by holding us up in your prayers. You are making a difference when you pray for the requests we present.

Whenever we see God open doors in difficult situations, when we have opportunities to proclaim the Gospel, and when we see lives changed for the present and for eternity through our relief and development programs, we know that it is because God is answering prayers.
